This super hot frenzy deal is back! BigValueInc via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III with EF 24-105mm f/4L IS Kit for only $2899.99. This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen on a brand new (import) 5D Mark III + 24-105mm. The previous low was $3080 during Black Friday 2013.

We saw this deal a few weeks ago (through their alternate store name ElectronicsValley) and we’re pleased to report all positive reader feedback and not a single bad experience.

A white-box 24-105mm typically goes for $600, so this is like getting a 5D Mark III for only $2299 — an incredible price.

Another good bundle deal from Adorama: they have the EOS Rebel SL1 with 18-55mm Kit (Black) bundled with the PIXMA PRO-100 for $479.95, after a $350 Canon mail-in rebate.

Warning: Canon Changed the PIXMA PRO-100 Mail-in Rebate Value

A couple days ago we posted the oddity that the mail-in rebate for the Printer + paper was increased to $350, as can be seen on the original rebate form. At the time, both B&H and Adorama were showing the printer at $48 AR.

It looks like this appears to have been a mistake on Canon’s part, and they have quietly gone and re-issued new rebate forms with a value of $250 for Printer + Paper purchases (you can still get $350 if you buy Printer + Paper + Camera). See the new form on B&H’s site. B&H and Adorama have increased their prices to show $148 AR now.

It’s possible you could try to argue for the $350 rebate if you’ve already purchased just the printer + paper (and for that reason we’ll keep a copy of the original rebate form online), but Canon may just remind you that the rebate fine print says they’re “not responsible for … misprints or typographical errors.” Shame on Canon for not getting this right the first time.

It’s been two days since Canon started a mail-in rebate on 27 lenses. Thus far, the most popular street price lens deals in the new rebate have been the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II for $1949 AR and the 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM for $1799 AR.

The rebate also renewed the $200 mail-in rebate on the EOS 5D Mark III ($2699 AR) and the EOS 6D ($1439 AR).

Finally, one oddity: the rebate form shows an increased rebate this month, from $300 to $350, on the PIXMA PRO-100 Printer + Paper. This makes the printer $48 AR at B&H or Adorama — but perhaps we’ll see a price drop before the month is up?
