Canon Rebate and Price Changes as of April 3rd

April 3rd marked the beginning of a new Canon USA rebate period. The following instant rebate and mail-in rebate changes occurred, just now:

  • The instant rebate was renewed on the majority, but not all, of the lenses. As previously reported, several lenses have gone up in price. This new instant rebate lasts three weeks and expires on April 23rd, 2016, unless renewed.
  • The mail-in rebate on printer bundles was renewed. The new mail-in rebate expires on April 30th, and is a new promotion id (you are eligible again, even if you participated in a previous rebate.)

Sigma Lenses Price Drops at Amazon

Amazon has lowered the prices on several Sigma Lenses. Please see below for a full list:

Hot: 70-200mm f/2.8L II (Grey Market) for $1599 AllNewShop via eBay

AllNewShop via eBay (also known as GetItDigital) is now featuring an excellent grey market lens deal: the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II for $1599.00. This is the lowest grey market price we have seen on this lens.

AllNewShop, also known as GetItDigital, is not an authorized dealer, so this item is grey market. A Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed, but readers report it is historically honored. Beware a potential upsell call (stay firm and insist they process your order at this price).

If you’re concerned about purchasing grey market, you can purchase brand new through our street price program from authorized dealers. The street price on the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II is $1789. For a limited time, if you buy two or more lenses, you also get $100 mail-in rebate. Check out several popular combinations eligible for the rebate.

Several Lenses Going Up in Price April 3rd, Expiring Instant Rebate

Our usual reliable sources have indicated that several Canon lenses will be going up in price after the current instant rebates end on April 2nd. These lenses are currently available for the “triple-stacked” discount. After April 2nd the instant rebate component will expire, and the net price will increase.

Here is a list of some of the lenses that are affected by this effective price increase taking place on April 3rd.

Please note that all prices shown are after all applicable rebates and are assuming you’re purchasing two or more lenses at once.

Check out several popular combinations eligible for triple-stacked discount.

B&H DealZone: Tokina AT-X 11-20mm f/2.8 PRO DX for $449

Today’s B&H Photo Video DealZone (one-day deal) is the Tokina AT-X 11-20mm f/2.8 PRO DX for only $449.00. This is a great price for this lens, which is $549 regular price.

This is a relatively new lens that was only announced last year, and is touted to be extremely sharp — reviews at B&H give an average of 4.5 stars. Please also note it’s a DX lens that is designed for crop-sensor bodies.

EOS Cameras + PIXMA PRO-100 Printer Bundles at B&H, Adorama

The EOS cameras plus PIXMA PRO-100 bundle deals are back at B&H and Adorama. Here is a summary of the bundle deals available.

The $350 mail-in rebate expires on April 2nd, but dealers have the discretion to change the price at any time, and have done so in the past with no notice.

CanonPriceWatch Now Tracks Used Items from KEH Camera

We’re now proud to track used cameras and lenses from KEH Camera, a very well known and reputable used camera dealer. They have very conservative used ratings, feature extremely good prices, and include a 180-day warranty on used purchases. You can now see KEH Camera listings in our used feed, as well as in the used listings on any product page.

KEH also provides a convenient sell quote wizard to make it easy to estimate the price for selling used gear

If you’re signed up for refurbished/used notifications you will also receive e-mails regarding used KEH items. As some readers are only interested in refurbished items (and not used), we added a new optional feature to prevent receiving notifications about used items: go to the notification portal, then click the link under “Used/Refurbished Notification Options” to change your notification delivery settings to “refurbished only”.
