Super Hot Amazon Double Dip: 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM for $1699!

Amazon has the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM for $1699.00 (after $300 mail-in rebate). This is the cheapest price that we’ve ever seen for this lens. They’re also giving a 2% reward.

This is the latest in a series of double-dip deals that Amazon has been running for the last few weeks. If past double-dip deals are any indication, this price won’t last longer than a few hours.

I’ll also say that I’ve been predicting this deal for the last couple of weeks!

UPDATE: Sold out in 2 hours — these deals never last more than a few hours. Price is back up to $1999. Congrats if you got in on the deal!

Amazon Double Dip: TS-E 45mm f/2.8 for $1199 After Rebate

Every weekend, Amazon has been having double-dip sales, where they lower the price on a different Canon lens for a day, effectively doubling the currently running rebate.

Today they have the Canon TS-E 45mm f/2.8 tilt-shift lens for $1199.00 (after a $100 mail-in rebate). Every other store is currently pricing it at $1299 after rebate.

So far they’ve done this for the 35L, the 17-40L, 135L, and the 300mm f/4L.

We’re still waiting for them to double-dip by $300 on the 24-70L II or one of the popular 70-200L lenses.

Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 HD Fisheye for $199 at BuyDig via eBay

BuyDig via eBay has the Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 HD Fisheye for Canon for $199.99, in an eBay one-day deal! This is the newer “HD” version of this popular lens, which features a detachable lens hood for full-frame shooters to get the widest field of view.

It regularly goes for $289-$329 at other authorized dealers, so at $199 this is an absolute steal; this is same price as the non-HD 8mm fisheye deal a few months ago!

You can see some fun and creative photos taken with the 8mm f/3.5 fisheye in the Flickr group for this lens.

Amazon’s Rebate Double Dip: 17-40L for $639, 135L for $889

Amazon is creating a double dip of their own: they have the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM for $639.00, and the Canon EF 135mm f/2.0L USM for $889.00, after $100 mail-in rebate. This is after a price drop equal to the value of the rebate ($100), effectively creating a double dip for you. This is the lowest price we’ve seen for both these two lenses in four or five years.

Recall that last week they discounted the 35L by $150 for one day, the amount of the rebate. It seems like they’re going through the lenses one by one and applying the discount. Here’s to hoping that a $300 double-dip on the 24-70 II is next.
