Canon has announced the EOS R5C “hybrid” Mirrorless Cinema Camera. It can switch between a conventional EOS R5 still photo camera and an 8K60 Cinema EOS camera recording 12-bit Cinema RAW Light. Thanks to an active cooling system, the camera supports unlimited recording — but the camera is no longer weather-sealed. Also notably missing is IBIS (in-body image stabilization). It’s available for pre-order now at a price of $4499 with availability scheduled for the end of March.
