Amazon has a hot Daily Deal on SanDisk Extreme SD cards. This is a newly updated version of their Extreme line, UHS speed class 3 and Video Class 30, topping out at 90MB/s. This is an excellent price, within a couple dollars of the all-time low set that was set earlier this year during their prime day sale.

Would be great to see B&H Photo Video Pro Audio price match and throw in CF cards to the list of on-sale items… hint hint 😀
Will these cards work in all of the Canon camera bodies?
Yes.
Thanks. I should have clarified, rather than implied, the SD slot capability in my original question.
Well, any camera with a SD slot.
Cards 64GB or more (SDXC cards) won’t work in older Canon bodies. I don’t know when the cutoff is, but I know that the XSi can’t use SDXC cards, for example. 32GB or smaller SDHC cards will work in any Canon camera with a SD card slot, as far as I know.
I think a better question is will these cards speeds be adequate for shooting 4K video or even 1080p60 on say the 5D Mark IV? With both the Mark IV and even with the previous Mark III I’ve never ever used SD cards because for some reason even with “fast” rated cards the buffer fills up and video recording automatically stops. Using CF cards I never have that issue. For shooting stills it seems to work fine.
I wish Canon would show up a warning right away if a card isn’t fast enough for recording video on its cameras. On Sony and Panasonic warnings pop up right away if a card isn’t fast enough for a particular video mode. On Canon DSLRs they would just let you record a few seconds and then automatically stop. Very frustrating. I’ve had same fast SD cards work and record fine on Sony but not on Canon, which leads me to believe that the SD slot on Canon either doesn’t utilize the full speed of SD cards or the data rate is higher/less efficient compared to Sony.
Too bad it’s not a microSD+adapter. I need a few microSD for my phones and other electronics.
