It sounds like it&#8217;s still up in the air on what the next Canon rebates will be. Thus we are retracting our previous statement on the new rebate values. The only thing we are sure of at this time is the current rebates are scheduled to  end on January 3rd, 2015. We&#8217;re sorry for the inconvenience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canonpricewatch.com\/blog\/2014\/11\/final-canon-rebates-to-start-november-23rd-5d-mark-iii-6d-300\/\">current Canon mail-in rebates<\/a> expire on January 3rd, 2015. <strike>We now have more info on the Canon rebates that will begin on January 4th. We are told the most popular items will see a significant drop in rebate (and thus an effective price increase):<\/strike><\/p>\n<p><strike><\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-left:-25px\">\n<li>Rebate on <a href=\"\/product\/03868\/Canon-EOS-5D-Mark-III-price.html\">EOS 5D Mark III<\/a> and kits drops from <b>$300<\/b> to <b>$100<\/b>\n<li>Rebate on <a href=\"\/product\/04039\/Canon-EOS-6D-price.html\">EOS 6D<\/a> and kits drops from <b>$300<\/b> to <b>$100<\/b>\n<li>Rebate on <a href=\"\/product\/02968\/Canon-EF-70-200mm-f2.8L-IS-USM-II-price.html\">EF 70-200mm f\/2.8L IS USM II<\/a> and <a href=\"\/product\/03850\/Canon-EF-24-70mm-f2.8L-II-USM-price.html\">EF 24-70mm f\/2.8L II USM<\/a> drops from <b>$150<\/b> to <b>$100<\/b>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are told almost all items will have their rebates slashed or eliminated altogether.<\/strike><\/p>\n<p>Historically, the November\/December timeframe has been the best time to buy Canon, as we see the largest rebates of the year.
