AllNewShop via eBay<\/a> has the Canon EOS-1D X<\/a> for $4999.99<\/a>. This ties the absolute lowest price we’ve seen for a new EOS-1D X. This is part of the on-going eBay Super Frenzy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Note, AllNewShop via eBay<\/a> is not an authorized dealer<\/b>, but a reliable unauthorized dealer. In eBay deals over the last month, they’ve sold over 400 5D Mark IIIs and 50 1D-X through their eBay store (or their sister-store GetItDigital<\/a>). They clearly state that this is an import model<\/b>, which is physically identical to the USA model. Although Canon USA has been traditionally lenient in providing warranty service, a Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed. A three-year extended warranty is provided by the store. <\/p>\n

The only two reader issues we’ve heard of in the last two months were: a case of someone being shipped the wrong item, and one defective item — both returns were handled cleanly by the store without issue. Even though this is a large purchase we think it can be a safe one if done with the triple-protection of eBay, PayPal, and credit card<\/a>.<\/p>\n
