Canon USA dropped the price on the EF 35mm f\/1.4L USM (old version)<\/a> — it is now priced for clearout at $1099 from authorized Canon USA dealers. Some dealers are already showing this price<\/a>, and we expect B&H<\/a>, Adorama<\/a>, and Amazon<\/a> to update shortly. A very limited quantity is available via street price<\/a> for $1049<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Also consider the Canon Direct Store<\/a>, which now has the refurbished 35L for $879.20<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The price drop does not surprise us, as this lens has been replaced by the 35mm f\/1.4L II (street price of $1675)<\/a>, and also features tough competition from the Sigma Art 35mm f\/1.4 (street price of $779)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Canon USA also started $300 instant rebates on the EOS 5Ds<\/a> and EOS 5Ds R<\/a>. The advertised prices are now $3399<\/a> and $3599<\/a> respectively.
